Job Summary

The Technician, Computer, End User II under general supervision of the Supervisor, Information
Technology, performs technical, and administrative work in the maintenance, and the installation of new and existing personal computer systems.

Performs level 2 triage and provides onsite as well as remote support for Desktop, Software, Telecom, Systems, and Networking teams.

Works on moderately complex end user support.

Confers with end users to determine types of hardware and software requirements and determines direction based on approved hardware and software.

Installs new hardware and maintains existing hardware. Trains end users in use of equipment and software.


Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Provides support to all users on-site and remote workers
  • Provide Sr Management/Executive support
  • Mentors TI Technician, Computer End User staff
  • Works independently with mínimal supervision required
  • Install and configure Microsoft technologies based on Qualfon best practices
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10, for common software and hardware related problems.
  • Provide hot hands support for network and systems connectivity issues that include routers, switches, circuits, servers, wireless and associated equipment
  • Monitor/document the highest level of security on all systems including virus protection, user permissions for both local, and network and Internet access on all personal computers. Report any discrepancies to management and work with other IT technical teams to remediate
  • Participate in inventory control and reporting of all IT hardware and software
  • Maintain inventory in IT asset inventory system
  • Responsible for packing and shipping IT equipment in a secure manner for remote employees
  • Prepare weekly progress and maintenance reports for all work performed.
  • Support mobile phone issuing, supporting, and tracking of devices
  • Act as IT Liaison when coordinating with other departments in the absence of the physical presence of the Supervisor or Team Lead
  • Support Printer maintenance and ordering equipment.
  • Responsible for producing evidence for auditors related to Desktop hardware and software
  • Adhere to company guidelines and procedures.
  • Address user incident and service requests within the defined SLA's
  • Adhere to company guidelines and procedures
  • Participates in the Desktop on-call schedule
  • Be available for after-hours support as needed
  • All other tasks assigned

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3-years' experience as a personal computer technician supportin a mid/large environment of users
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot users' issues remotely
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, OneDrive, and Teams
  • Advanced knowledge of Microso Windows operang systems, personal computer-based applicaon soware, printers, and networking cabling
  • Proficient with remote support tools i.e., Bomgar
  • Advanced knowledge of personal computer hardware and peripherals
  • Ability to resolve personal computer hardware issues including but not limited to component level diagnoscs, troubleshoong, repair, and replacements.
  • Excellent verbal and wrien communicaon skills
  • Able to represent IT to end users, including Sr Execuves being professional and understanding of customer needs
  • Accuracy, completeness, dependability, and ability to complete tasks when due
  • Employee must occasionally be able to li equipment more than 25 lbs.
  • While performing the dues of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and listen
  • The employee is required to walk; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilies required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Parcipate in the Desktop team on-call schedule
  • Aer normal business hours and weekend support as needed
  • Travel up to 10%
