Foundation Brakes Design Engineer:

Location: Santa Rosa Jauregui, Querétaro, MX, 76220Req ID 51429 MSSC Santa Rosa, Mexico

We are looking for a new colleague in the Foundation Brakes Design Department at our location in Santa Rosa.

Responsibilities:

Design new brake calipers, rotors and DIH assemblies.
Mark up component and subassembly drawings.
Check drawings for correctness and release drawings in document control system.
Update/create/check/release subassembly BOMs.
Review test data with the Development Engineers for DV1, DV2 and PV testing.
Support the assembly plant to analyze field return parts/components.
Interface with manufacturing on component design and tooling requirements.
Generate and maintain Component DFMEA's.
Interface with local customers and attend customer meetings in person.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
23 years of experience in an Engineering position (coop and internships included) with Chassis technology related products preferred
Ability to provide creative and practical design solutions to meet customer specifications
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including production, prototype & testing lab capabilities
Computer literacy in basic PC based office software. Able to learn and use product specific calculation software and Data Management software.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Good interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.
Ability to travel, as required.
