The Quality Manager operates in partnership with the Tijuana Site leadership, and as an active member of site's Management Team.


The primary responsibilities of the Quality Manager are to provide leadership for plant product quality and planning, facilitate quality improvement activities, assure proper quality systems are developed, implemented, and observed, establish objectives for quality within the plant operation, provide feedback to the operation on performance against quality requirements, serve as a resource for information relative to all aspects of products and process quality, facilitate implementation of new products and processes, and support and integrate continuous improvement principles across the plant.

  • Provide the overall leadership in the areas of quality management systems, regulatory compliance, quality control laboratory functions, documentation control, quality audit functions, both internally and with contract manufacturers and packagers. This includes assuring that all product specifications and all regulatory requirements have been satisfied prior to the final release of any product into the distribution channel.
  • Implement RB/Tijuana quality policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all appropriate plant SOPs are utilized and proper tools and techniques are used.
  • Develop and implement training in Quality Systems to achieve consumer satisfaction objectives.
  • Responsible for all aspects of plant quality systems.
  • Participation in site management to include appropriate interface and cooperation with the Regional Quality Manager and the regional Quality team.
  • Provide a quality focus and leadership to team development process.
  • Quality team development including employee hiring, training, and retention.
  • Conduct audits of systems, products, suppliers and cross in corporate audits applicable.
  • Management of both micro and analytical laboratory staff.
  • Manage customer and internal audits and requirements Perform additional duties as requested by the Site Director or Regional Quality Manager.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible quality assignments in Consumer Products, Food, or Pharmaceutical business.
  • Experienced in quality systems such as ISO 9001 or equivalent, GMP, HACCP,
  • Lead Audit Certification or auditing experience required
  • Experience managing a quality team required. This position has 5 direct reports.
