In addition, you manage the talent in your assigned area and jointly set the direction for your region and the associated business units.

As a member of the management team, you interact with all levels of clients and technology organizations.


How you will contribute
In this role, you define and lead the packaging development plan in your region and its associated business units. This includes leading innovation, quality improvement, brand maintenance and technical services programs.

You will use your area's strategy and translate it into technical plans, platforms, and programs and deliver on associated business budget targets and plans.

You will offer consumer insights to provide input to programs and to help define a technical strategy.

You are the single point of contact for packaging on the regional team and prioritize packaging resources to develop and execute global and regional innovation and renovation programs.

As a people leader, you will coach employees and develop them to build the talent pipeline.

You will also ensure there is a robust intellectual property strategy in place, manage compliance to Mondelēz-relevant policies and government regulations.

As a member of the global packaging leadership team, you will also develop the technical program strategy.

More about this role

  • This position is responsible for leading the Mexico Biscuit Packaging R&D agenda for Innovation Quality and Cost Improvement, with extension to other Geographies such WACAM region;
  • This role will support identifying and executing short / long term strategies to advance and commercialize emerging and existing packaging technology platforms that are brand, consumer, shopper and/or customer relevant for new market entries and value quality purposes;
  • The individual will connect, but not support, with Packaging Biscuits team LA, to ensure alignment within category resources / activity and leverage regional initiatives;
  • The individual must possess solid project management and communication skills and have experience in packaging development and commercialization with the ability to build effective relationships and influence colleagues at different levels within the organization;
  • Lead, manage and measure local team in the development and commercialization processes to meet the business plans and support Line Manager with selected activities cross regionally;
  • Actively participate in relevant business meetings to assure business team linkages;
  • Lead a team of 35 employees to scope, develop and deploy growth and quality improvement programs. Moreover, as part of rule expansion, bring support to other BU's;
  • Effectively identify and communicate risks across key functions; communicate resource needs/gaps and as well as pinch points and plans mitigation plans;
  • Conduct/participate in routine joinups between RDQ and MSC regarding SCR
