  • Main responsibilities:
  • Based in Mexico.
  • Translates global divisional category strategy into global, divisional, subcategory strategy and translates regional procurement strategy into country strategy and local implementation.
  • Supervise the implementation of sourcing plans for the subcategory and deliver subcategory savings targets following engagement in the target setting process.
  • Provide input into the overall Category or subcategory strategy about segmentation and identification of key supplier relationships, and lead business planning activities and ensure these projects are staffed and executed on a timely basis in line with the targeted goals.
  • Manage strategic subcategory supplier relationships and implement consistent key performance indicators for the subcategory, ensuring that any supplier performance risks and issues are resolved on a timely basis to end user satisfaction.
  • Partner to control at a country level purchase with respect to supplier choice, timing and commercial conditions and collect supplier information and feedback from Divisions, countries, sites, and Category teams and deliver Procurement Balanced Scorecard metrics for the relevant subcategory.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to create, apply, complete and reviews major contracts for the subcategory, and ensure that negotiated contracts are clearly. communicated for the subcategory area & that they are consistently applied.
  • Manage the budget/resource allocation for the area of responsibility and the performance and talent development of direct reports.
  • Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt and distribution of marketing samples (where applicable).

Minimum requirements

  • Prior experience in Operations Management and Execution Project Management.
- +5 years of experience in procurement.

  • Demonstrated ability representing the organization collaborating across boundaries.
  • Prior Functional Breadth experience, Organization Scope.
  • Demonstrated strength in major change, scale, and complexity.
  • English proficiency (oral and written), Portuguese is a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of vendor management.
  • Prior experience in root cause Analysis and Problem-Solving.
  • Demonstrated trackrecord of Internal and external Customer needs analysis.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, consulting/facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
