Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Global Category Manager Electronics.

What you'll do:

We are looking for a Global Category Manager, Electronics to join our team.
This individual will lead the development, management and oversight of standard supply chain processes and develops enterprise strategies through consensus building to implement enterprisewide costeffective improvements for Eaton. This position develops long term category strategic planning, creates category metrics, and ensures category strategies are aligned, deployed, and meet the requirements of Supply Chain Management across Eaton operations. This position is responsible for driving the sourcing strategies for the Electronics category which can include active and passive components.
Establish and lead supply chain teams in developing strategies to leverage Eaton's Enterprise buy, generate costoutcome results, reduce supply base, and improve quality and service performance.
Initiate, develop and execute enterprise strategic initiatives to facilitate crossbusiness synergies and increased leverage across a rationalized set of global preferred supplier partners.
Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships
Establish, review, approve, monitor, and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.
Lead category to develop innovative business solutions, forecasts, and category projections to understand and manage economics, risks, and market drivers.
Present to senior management new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards, and procurement opportunities that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
Lead enterprise category for supporting and managing supply chain strategic and operations goals and objectives.
Identify and implement innovative solutions to business problems, independently and through high performance crossfunctional teams.
Benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.
Create alignment between corporate, supplier diversity and business unit strategic and financial plans.
Conduct Supplier Business Reviews with top 20 strategic suppliers on a regular basis annually and executes negotiation calendar to negotiate 80% of spend annually.
Drive Eaton's Go Green process to meet Enterprise goals and understand market gap available in category through Ariba RFQs, E-Auctions, Should Cost, Supplier Total Waste Elimination Events and market intelligence
Create and develop site intimacy with key customers and stakeholders in decision making process

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Supply Chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM)
MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain from an accredited institution
7+ years' supply chain experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities
35 years' category management experience with a strong preference for electronics components experience

Skills:

Position Criteria

Knowledge of the Electronic Components category and ability to identify technology and economic trends within the category
Demonstrates knowledge and experience in successfully deploying category strategies and driving costout.
Creative thinking skills to produce new approaches in category management and implement emerging tools
Communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with senior management, suppliers, operations and SCM personnel
Ability to coordinate crossfunctional / global teams
Ability to influence and drive effective organizational change across impacted regions/businesses
Ability to drive results via factbased negotiations
Ability to manage costout projects against scope, schedule and budget
