Located in our Santa Fe office, you will be to support the American Commercial Legal Team (which supports the North, Latin and South America region) in developing, administering, and consistently working to improve our global contracts database and contract management life cycle system and our global contracting and signature policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
ABOUT YOU
of years of progressive experience
- Law degree from an accredited Mexico law school or paralegal.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Adept at using contract management programs (
Conga Contract System) - Experience with administration of electronic databases and preparation of tracking reports.
- Ability to execute and exercise independent decisionmaking actions in the execution of Gates' Delegation of Signature Authority and Contract Risk Management policies, to conduct a substantive review of contracts to determine whether attorney review is required.
- Ability to draft and negotiate nondisclosure agreements and other standard contracts such as service agreements and indemnity agreements, with customers, suppliers and vendors.
- Familiarity with standard business transactions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to spot issues, research, investigate and use independent judgement to solve problems
- Intermediate understanding of general contract structures and standard contract provisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills fluency in spoken and written English is required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including upper management and external parties, as well as across language and cultural barriers.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently and bring projects to closure in a fastpaced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
- Sound judgment and a team player.
