What you'll do:


Description

  • Eaton's Power Connections division is currently seeking a dynamic leader to be a SCM Program Manager (NPI and Cost Out).\
  • The SCM Program Manager will manage SCM elements of new programs from design phase to production to meet all program timing, cost and quality requirements while acting as the primary conduit between the SCM organization and the business unit. Assist with early supplier involvement in new product introduction to meet key SCM initiatives and alignment with commodity plans. Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, purchasing and quality to ensure supplier readiness and successfully launch new projects.
  • This role will also be responsible for activities that include, but are not limited to, supply continuity management, supplier resourcing, supplier resiliency and product design value analysis/value engineering (VAVE), etc.
  • Lead and communicate program needs (cost targets, timing, manufacturing strategy, etc.) to commodity managers to provide pricing and capacity analysis in PROLaunch Phases 0
  • Coordinate with commodity teams to ensure strategies align with strategic and profit plan
  • Coordinate the exchange of technical information regarding products and product processing with adequate safeguards for confidentiality
  • Drive supplier selection aligned with program timing, BOM cost targets, and quality requirements
  • Facilitate scheduling and business unit involvement in Sourcing Councils for new product launches
  • Ensure completion of negotiations with suppliers regarding price, terms, quality, tooling, transportation and inventory management
  • Represent SCM function and participate in APQP activities for all new product launches for the business unit
  • Oversee and track supplier tooling deliverables
  • Manage change requests from engineering, quality and manufacturing to the supply base, coordinate with program team on change execution
  • Represent and lead SCM function in PROLaunch and DGC gate reviews
  • Actively participate in teams working towards continuous process improvements, elimination of waste, and overall supply chain continuity

Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in SCM, program management, engineering, or strategic roles.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • PMP or CAPM certification
  • MBA

  • Advanced / Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, purchasing and program management best practices including project planning, supplier selection, APQP, performance metrics/reporting, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement methodologies
  • Strong ability to communicate and present effectively with all levels of the organization, from associates to the leadership team.
  • Proven ability to think and act strategically
  • Effective people/interpersonal relationship management skills, negotiation, communication, and customercare skills, including the ability lead, work and navigate in a cross functional and matrix organization
  • Deep understanding of key financial metrics and budget management.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Product design and Technical/manufacturing knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications
