Scope of Position:

The Total Productive Maintenance Manager is responsible for sustaining and expanding Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across the OCS Division.

They will serve as a Leader, Strategist, Change Agent and Coach to train site leadership teams on effective deployment of key TPM strategies and processes aligned with Corporate and Divisional strategies.

He or she will drive a learning culture that embraces standardization, digital transformation, problem solving, strategy deployment and continuous improvement.

He or she will also develop and coach leaders to lead sites using defined tools and methods to achieve results.

The TPM Manager will also be responsible for maintaining all documentation in a repository to ensure a standardized methodology and system is being deployed across an organization.

The manager will provide cross departmental coordination for the implementation of TPM within the manufacturing locations while ensuring all resources are aligned with the business priorities including Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Safety, and Innovation.


Roles and Responsibilities:


TPM Implementation & Continuous Improvement:


  • Deploy, Communicate, and Manage TPM strategy across all TPM Champions & Regional Engineering Managers
  • Develop training and build capability for each of the TPM Pillars
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture by leveraging capabilities such as: Centralize Standardize Control (CSC), Digital Transformation, LEAN and Problem Solving
  • Update and sustain all TPM documentation in Windchill on a periodic basis (once a year)
  • Standardize tools (AM, PM, EEM, OEE etc.), functions, and reports in MAXIMO (CMMS) across the organization

Cross-Functional Leadership:


  • Lead, teach and coach others on implementing TPM capability across the Division
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring a clear understanding of TPM principles and objectives

Equipment Optimization:


  • Work closely with Plant Leadership and Operations/Maintenance teams to deploy TPM principles and implement Key Process Indicators to measure advancement of capability
  • Support equipment assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Encourage maintenance strategies that focus on preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and downtime

Training and Development:


  • Teach and coach associates at all levels on how lean principles, tools, systems, and metrics are linked together in support of a data driven TPM culture
  • Foster a culture of skill development and knowledge sharing to empower employees to take ownership of equipment maintenance and improvement

Communication and Reporting:


  • Present Global TPM Divisional Engineering status on a regular cadence to the local and regional leadership teams to review progress, results and challenges
  • Maintain communications with all regions: APAC, EMEA, and NA and facilities, facilitating the exchange of standard methodologies, best practices and to ensure consistent development of capability

Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or Technical degree, Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics degree preferred
  • Total Productive Maintenance Certification (Marshall Institute or equivalent)

Experience Requirements:


  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in TPM principles, methods, systems

Required Skills and Knowledge:


  • Able to work across cultures and departments
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Able to exercise leadership without authority
  • Lean training
  • Technical English language skills (read, write, and speak)
  • Strong understanding of TPM principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proven experience in leading TPM or similar continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing
  • Effective leadership and teambuilding skills with the ability to set a vision, mission, manage change, develop personnel, and strategically plan for continuous improvement
  • Project management skills / training with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation to drive datadriven decisions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to influence at all levels of the organization

Desired Skills:


  • Ability to solve problems with advanced problemsolving tools
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and gain support for changes needed to deliver project metrics
  • Spanish language skills are recommended
  • Familiar with CMMS such as MAXIMO or equivalent

Travel:


  • 25% to 50% depending on office location; International travel is a must
