As a Buyer at Service Business Line, you will be in charge of the coordination of various work contacts, including Order Processing Planners, Service Execution Planners, Expediting, QC, and Logistics Leaders, alongside Contract Administrators and the Chennai Purchasing Support Leader, is integral to ensuring the smooth execution of relevant processes.

These processes encompass the execution of quotation, purchasing, and reportability procedures, with key performance indicators (KPIs) focusing on turnaround times (TAT) in quotation and purchasing processes, adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) with internal customers, and achieving cost savings in purchasing endeavours.

Operating within local functions and executing processes while maintaining accurate reporting are critical organizational dimensions.

Additionally, the delegation of tasks such as supplier assignment and authorization of purchase orders within established global guidelines empowers effective decision-making, while staying informed about purchase needs and supplier validity ensures operational alignment and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

To ensure the execution of procurement activities to meet the specific requirements of the business unit in terms of costs, time, quality, and risk minimization.
To participate in the management, along with the business units, both in strategic and tactical purchasing matters, to ensure correct and timely participation.
To coordinate with the internal customer its early participation in Aftermarket projects and to support the collaboration and alignment with relevant logistics and quality assessment/acceleration control.
To attend to and respect compliance with procurement policies and processes in alignment with Group directives.
To manage the necessary actions to meet the KPIs assigned.
To ensure savings effectiveness through compliance with the implemented initiatives of the global category.

What you bring

Desirable university studies in Engineering.
Desirable experience in strategic purchasing,
Desirable experience in fabrication.
Desirable experience in process optimization.
English language mandatory: spoken at a fluent conversational level and written at a high level.
Negotiation capacity.
Analytical capacity.
Data analysis capacity.
