Responsibilities:


The MSL Mission is to, through customized interactions, discuss our treatments with physicians and other customers to shape behaviors and support informed decision making whilst identifying and bringing medical insights into the organization as inputs to medical strategy.


  • The main activities are:
  • Build relationships with community and academic HCPs focusing on changing medical behavior through the exchange of scientific knowledge
  • Convey the value of the attributes related to the innovation (ie, efficacy, safety, effectiveness, adherence, QoL) to gain attribute endorsement with stakeholders
  • Shaping medical practice by changing behaviors within the HCP Community during product pre launching phases prepare the health care environment and medical community, accelerate adoption (PIs engagement and preapproval access programs)
  • Follow up on education, adoption of new knowledge, identifying barriers for medical practice change for innovative products
  • Respond to scientific inquiries of HCPs/investigators/health care systems and population health decision makers
  • Integrates scientific data into real life practice to meet customer/audience needs
  • Identify potential sites and support sites recruitment when needed in alignment with the TA Head/Senior medical manager
  • Execute Medical Field Educational Events focused on pipeline close to launch and key in line products
  • Gather insights from Field interactions regarding scientific knowledge, treatments paradigms, Competitors, medical needs and opportunities
  • Draw and execute the territory and KOL engagement plan according to the strategy and validated by the other MAF stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A minimum of Graduate degree in a Health Sciences field is required; Pharm.
D., Ph.
D., M.D. an asset

  • A minimum of 1 year business experience in the pharmaceutical industry. May be balanced against a strong clinical and/or scientific background in a relevant therapy
  • Knowledge of Oncology is highly desirable. Should have the ability to acquire expertise in other therapeutic areas and products, depending on pipeline and/or changing business priorities.
  • Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings/congresses/headquarters.
  • Bilingualism in Spanish and English is an asset.
  • Have a proven ability to learn quickly, assimilate and distill large amounts of information and build and maintain relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing clinical/ scientific programs with a high degree of autonomy, including successfully managing significant programs from study concept to publication.
  • Strong knowledge of GCP and Healthcare Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with working in an environment guided by SOP's.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate information to KOLs, as well as nonexperts.
  • Ability to put data into perspective and communicate it concisely, as required.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, strong project management skills and ability to impact decision making with relevant stakeholders.
  • Business acumen required, including prioritization skills and big picture orientation.
  • Scientific knowledge, curiosity, familiarity, and interest to keep abreast of scientific trends within the therapeutic area.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, both domestic and international, as this is a customer facing position. Overnight travel may be required as much as 12 times per month on average, depending upon region covered.
