Objective of the position:


  • Management of the Logistics Operations in the Plant SLE; coordinates and oversees physical flows and operations within the receiving, storage warehouses, material supply and KS/VK, MM staging and KSK Order Control and Shipping departments, in line with the Logistics function standards, FIFO principle and the management objectives of the Plant SLE.
  • Responsible for the accomplishment of the set of goals defined for the area in terms of Cost and Delivery.
  • The holder of this position acts as disciplinary supervisor for the PDE SCM function in the Plant.

Principal activities:


  • Plan and administrate the budget in his area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it.
  • Develop and implement personnel planning in his area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor; also make sure qualified personnel are hired.
  • Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him; make personnel decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor.
  • Develop departmentspecific goals, break down and prioritize the department goals, follow up on goals and evaluate goal achievement.
  • Manage and administration of warehouse operations (including Offsite CSL) and physical flows resources in the plant; from Receiving, Warehouse, Staging, Kanban, Material Supply, Order Control/AULA and Shipping departments, ensuring at all times inventory accuracy, health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
  • Control, secure storage and disposition of scrap materials generated by the production processes; organize dispatch shipments for final disposition/sale, making sure compliance rules established for this process are respected.
  • Implement Plant Logistics standards and guidelines defined by the Central departments into the warehouse processes and systems and assure they are observed. Provides feedback and shares best practices with the Logistics network in the Region.
  • Assure compliance with rules and guidelines (e.g. legal requirements, customer requirements, etc.).
  • Responsible to monitor inventory levels of raw material, WIP and non series goods in the Plant according to the demand and targets established by the SCM group.

Requirements:


  • Professional career: BD Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, International Trade/Logistics, Business or related.
  • Relevant experience: 7 years of experience in the field of Logistics (WH Operations, Material Handling, Lean Mfg.) in the automotive environment. Experience in management position.
English advanced.


Technical knowledge:


  • WMS Warehouse Management System.
  • Warehouse Operations.
  • Lean Manufacturing Tools: VSM, JIT, KanBan, Kaizen, 5's, SMED, etc.
  • Master Scheduling / MRP.
  • Transportation & Distribution.
  • Customs IMMEX; FTA'S: NAFTA, CAFTA, TLCUE.
  • Automotive Standards IATF 1694
  • Finance / Cost / Budget.
