The person in this position will support the Global Transportation Team, providing high-quality services, analyzing supply chain processes and recommend any applicable adjustments for efficiency.

Transportation analysts handle invoicing, electronic bills, and shipment tracking. They are responsible for maintaining the information in CTSI and SAP databases and identifying opportunities for freight cost reduction.

Logistics analysts also update freight rate databases to determine the most cost-effective means of shipping, and correspond with air, ocean, and trucking couriers for cost appraisals and scheduling.

Additional duties include tracking product flow from origin to outgoing shipments and delivery, and preparing reports on performance measures, oversee transportation processes and product delivery by tracking and reviewing invoices, shipment status, and delivery route activity.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Key responsibilities_
  • Freight Pay and Audit for North America
  • Work with CTSI to adjust coding logic for all Alcon cost centers and billing.
  • Work with Alcon carriers to ensure invoices are paid appropriately and all aging reports are up to date weekly.
  • Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
  • Reviews logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
  • Reviews and analyzes transportation costs, parts procurement and delivery processes, inventory issues such as back orders, and other fulfillment metrics.
  • Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes.
  • Prepare accurate reports for management.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Skills For Success

  • Key Requirements/Minimum Requirements_
  • Education: BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field.
  • English fluent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience as a logistics coordinator or analyst.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with previous logistic analysis experience preferred.
