We are now looking for a Lawyer to the Employee Relations function within our Human Resources team.


On this journey we ́re all collaborating to create the best omni customer offer for our customers and employees as an Employee Relations Specialist you will be a key player in making this happen.

Together with the rest of the HR team you are responsible for the oversight of Company employee relations and labor relations strategy, develops and executes HR policies and procedures and oversees all employment law-related cases.


_ Key responsibilities include:
_


  • Ownership of all Company employment policies and procedures, including creating, updating and maintaining practices and policies in employment, employee relations, labor relations and overall employee workplace guidelines
  • Oversees Companywide adherence to federal, state, municipal laws and employment related requirements
  • Partners with outside legal counsel to investigate, respond and represent the Company in all employment legal matters
  • Proactively identifies trends in MX to assess opportunities for improvement in retention and workplace practices
  • Responsible for the oversight of the H&M Open Door Hotline
  • Assesses risk levels and proposes resolutions for collective bargaining or other labor or contract negotiations
  • Develop ER team member on best practices, enhanced ways of working and emerging employment topics
  • Partners with outside counsel and LR Supervisor to recommend collective bargaining strategies, goals, and objectives for Mexico
  • Supports with interpreting and drafting contract proposals or counterproposals for collective bargaining or other labor negotiations assessing impact on Company operations
  • Advises management on matters related to the administration of contracts or employee discipline or grievance procedures
  • Partners with Central HR team to develop employee training, including Sexual Harassment, Supervisory Workshop and other relevant content to ensure current compliance with Company practice and legal requirements
  • Partners regularly with key stakeholders to ensure that clear, accurate, and timely communication methods for employment policies and programs are available to, and understood by, all employees in Mexico
  • Acts as a trusted business partner to provide coaching and advisement to senior leadership on escalated employee relations matters
  • Maintains overview of highrisk ER cases across Mexico
  • Creates and maintains new and ongoing vendor relations with outside legal counsel and other vendors
  • Consistently uses values and global leadership expectations in decision making
  • Actively seeks and responds to feedback from H&M employees on engagement and culture
  • Decisions impact national employment and labor legal fees, including managing, defending and settlement of legal matters/cases.
  • Supports stores, offices and warehouses with potential legal issues; works with internal partners and external counsel to mitigate company exposure to employment and labor law liabilities.

Requisitos:

Besides your personality we see that you have:_**- Bachelor's degree in Law, with a specialization in Labor Law

  • 3 or more years' experience in an HR within employee and labor relations
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, organize and determine key priorities
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff, through our Leadership Expectations
  • Detailed knowledge of employment law and legal requirements
  • Labor Union knowledge and/or experience with unions preferred
  • Ability to be neutral and confidential and deal with sensitive information.
  • Ability to develop, communicate and follow through on strategic decisions with a preventive mindset
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes according to changing business need
  • Skilled at solving conflicts in a direct but positive way
