    Finance Analyst

    Position Overview

    With limited direction from the Director of Finance, Global Marketing COE, the finance analyst will provide moderately complex financial analyses, complete month end close, forecasting and reporting for management in the areas of A&P, retailer search and licensing and royalties.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Accounting & Reporting – With limited direction, applies and understands McCormick & Company, Incorporated's best practice financial reporting to meet the requirements of management, external authorities and the stakeholders of the Company.

    • Business/Operations – Analysis & Support – With limited direction, creates, analyzes and interprets financial statements, reports, and variances/trends in data and communicates to more senior levels in management.

    • Business Planning & Analysis – With limited direction, assembles, analyzes, and presents information as part of the business planning and analysis process. Uses critical thinking to draw upon professional experiences, market and industry knowledge, data, intuition, and then applies in decision making and direction setting. Effective in completing, analyzing, interpreting and communicating modeling exercises.

    Requirements

    Bachelors Degree - Accounting or Finance strongly preferred

    MBA preferred

    At least 2 years of experience in a financial analyst role. Knowledge and experience with any of the Finance functions.

    Experience working on cross functional teams.

    Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, US GAAP, and Financial Reporting

    Able to successfully communicate in a business environment, working across functions and countries.

    Strong proficiency in MS Excel Required. Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and MS PowerPoint required.

    The successful candidate will be very detail oriented, have strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, demonstrated grammatical and organizational skills and must be a self-starter, who is able to work independently.

    Understands available reporting, drill down capabilities, and able to organize data in a way that adds value to analysis.

    Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems, multi-task, deliver accurate financial deliverables, and work in cross functional teams.
