JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the design and implementation of work cells mainly in machining area, maintaining standard work per KPS standars.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for process improvements and daily manufacturing engineering support to the machining area.
Provide technical support for manufacturing cells in a manufacturing environment
Champion for introduction of new products to plant's Machining operation
Responsible for continuous improvement activities of the plant's machining processes
If applicable Update / Revise / Improve CNC programming, tools and fixtures
Design and implement mistake proofing devices in the Machinind area.
Develop and prepare capital projects to implement process improvements
Participate and support Lean manufacturing and KPS activities
Primary responsible for PFMEA activities
Responsible for maintaining process documentation in the system
Responsible for SAP Work centers, routings and production versions loading and maintenance
Has the authority to stop the production and/or shipment in case the quality of the product is compromised, in order to request the help needed to solve the problem.
