Position Summary


The HR Technology Lead supports AutoZone in their use of HR systems and software to drive business results and serves as a liaison between the business and IT.


This position manages a team of programmers and analysts and has dual responsibility for the functional and data integrity of HR systems, and for utilizing statistical, reporting and data modeling software and techniques to develop enterprise reporting strategies and sound data management practices.


The individual in this role will drive key HRIS initiatives and provide strategic input, guidance and consulting to our business partners, while facilitating technical solutions with our IT organization.

The HR Technology Lead will need to build strong business relationships and instill confidence in our business partners by providing timely updates, innovative and sound solutions, and WOW Customer Service


Key Responsibilities

Lead
  • People, Product, & Process: (80%)*
  • Manages and mentors technical team to provide a wide range of technical support at AutoZone
  • Supervisor responsibility for secure area and personnel handling Personal Identifiable Information (PII)
  • Oversees and maintains internal database files, tables, codes, backup files, integrity, and security
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements
  • Manages data preparation requests from various HR systems to expedite analysis and insights, identifying issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR services users
  • Responsible for development and production support in WebFOCUS BI reporting dashboards
  • Drives automation and process improvement efforts towards centralization of HRIS functions
  • Ability to build effective working relationships, partner, and influence stakeholders to achieve results
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously with varying completion dates and competing priorities.

Technical Support & Administrative: (20%)

  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR employees.
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports
  • Highlevel understanding of HR, Benefits and Payroll business processes
  • Must maintain absolute confidentiality and always safeguard sensitive and highly confidential data

Education and or experience
-
Level of formal education:A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.

Area of study:HR, Economics, Business, Finance Computer Science/IT or related.
-
Years of experience: 5-7 years.

Type of experience:


  • SAS, SQL or other applicable data manipulation language proficiency
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Python.
  • Advanced skill level using Excel, Access; willingness and capacity to learn new technologies as necessary.
  • Data modeling experience.
  • Attention to detail to ensure highquality deliverables
  • Ability to work in a very fastpaced, multitask environment
  • Demonstrated project management experience with focus on communications and documentation.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills ability to listen to needs, provide clear direction, communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and influence at all levels; proactively seeks to work with business partners to solve complex problems
  • Effectively define/frame problems, identify data sources, process large amounts of data efficiently, translates complex findings by creating reports and managing the communication of insights in a consumable format that drives action and results
  • Experience with business systems analysis, design, development and implementation
  • Experience with Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, and/or Workday or similar HR systems preferred

Other/Preferred:Master's degree preferred (MSBA, MBA, or equivalent graduate degree), PMP Certification.
