We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as a IT Engineer

Responsibilities

We're looking for an engineer located in Guadalajara
Work in a 24/7 rotation shift, meaning shift start and end times will vary and will often commence and/or end outside of normal business hours
Response, diagnosis, resolution and tracking of customer queries.
Maintain response and resolution speed as defined by SLOs;
Keep high customer satisfaction scores and follow quality standards in 90% of cases.
Use existing troubleshooting tools and techniques to establish root cause for queries and provide a customer facing root cause assessment.
Understand business impact of customer issue report and follow internal issue prioritization guidelines, provide justification on priority for a given single customer report. Perform internal classification queries documenting classes of problems and preventative actions for further retroactive analysis.
Reactively (e.g. as a result of a query) file issue reports to L3 engineers, collaborate with them to diagnose customer issues, build documentation, procedures, document desired behavior and/or steps to reproduce, and suggested codelevel resolutions for complex product bugs, assist engineers to drive bugs to resolution.
Promptly and independently resolve technical incidents and escalations, with effective communication to all stakeholders internally and externally, so that no monitoring is needed by L3 engineers.
Provide hightouch assistance to highest Tier customers, build indepth understanding of most pressing customer issues and act as an advocate for such issues with Google engineers and Program Managers.

Qualifications

Engineering degree (CS preferred) required
CompTIA and/or AWS certification(s) preferred
12 years of experience working in cloud support support role
Experience working in 24/7 operations
Knowledge of the internet: protocols, concepts etc (HTTP, DNS, SSL, TCP/IP).
At least one of the following:
Systems: UNIX/Linux or Windows
Networking: familiarity with the routing protocols
PaaS/Developer: ability to read, understand code and familiarity with Cloud PaaS and storage products.
APIs, System Design, Web Technologies
Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in a team

Location:
Guadalajara

This position will have GCP Training for 2 or 3 months
