The MES Developer contributes to the execution of the overall MES transformation vision, having manufacturing operations understanding and partnering with the rest of the MES team to deliver innovative product solutions for the global Carrier factories

This role will report to the MES Product Manager (Solid)
:


Primary Responsibilities

  • Transform business requirements in the form of user stories into robust functionalities and solutions for the MES product.
  • Work closely with scrum team to clarify user stories in order to provide estimates using agile techniques.
  • Influence scrum team optimization by actively participating on scrum ceremonies.
  • Prepare and conduct test cases as specified by Carrier development standards.
  • Assist other team members with development activities as required.
  • Communicate timely and effectively impediments impacting successful team completion to scrum master.
  • Timely update SDLC tools.
  • Work with business and support teams to troubleshoot and fix issues in code.
  • Follow Carrier's systems architecture principles to provide the optimal solution.
  • Document changes and enduser guides as required.

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Developer or have "on the job" experience.
  • Lean / Six Sigma black belt certification (desired).

Domain Expertise and Experience

  • 8+ years of proven experience on Python programing language.
  • 5+ years of proven experience working with Ignition/Sepasoft modules.
  • 5+ years on industrial systems for manufacturing operations.
  • 5+ years working with REST APIs, SOAP or similar technologies.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of proven, handson experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Preexisting experience and/or demonstrated aptitude for learning digital tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, etc.

Skills & Abilities

  • SCADA Systems integration highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of multiple PLC environments and brands: ABB, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, etc. highly desirable.
  • Good understanding for industrial network technologies, cyber security, and remote connections.
  • Experience on cloud environments and software as a service (SaaS) Solutions.
  • Selfmotivated to innovate. Critical thinking abilities, excellent communication skills, and adaptability.
  • ISA95 model understanding (desirable).

Other requirements

  • Fluent in English language both spoken and written is a must.
  • Willing to travel internationally (up to 10%).
  • Willing to deal with multicultural, multilingual, and multiple time zone, global environments.
