What we expect from you:


  • Lead commercialization process of new launches from a packaging /SME perspective by working collaboratively and networking with all the necessary functions while ensuring compliance with Coca Cola standards and policies / local regulation for the entire OU (Operating Unit)

This involve the following:

  • Introduce innovative ideas of new package to Franchise /Marketing.
  • Run feasibility studies (capex, lead time, competitor price point, etc.).
  • Provide Value chains with different scenarios to maximize package profitability.
  • Lead the project phases from design development, supplier management, related investment to final package launch.
  • Provide Leadership and expertise to OU and all Franchise operations, Bottlers and suppliers in Packaging Innovations and new launches of Package design.
  • Drive packaging optimization projects to enhance system profitability.
  • Drive the packaging portfolio expansion across the scope of countries in collaboration with OU Marketing, Franchise, Finance, legal, procurement/CEPG, bottlers and suppliers.
  • Lead the packaging supplier' developments and ensure to enhance the supply chain and meet the sales demand and moreover to secure the additional demands to meet the annual sales volume.
  • Ensue Proactive Risk Assessment plan in order not to have shortage in key/primary packaging materials. Supply.
  • Lead packaging/SME innovation initiatives (increasing consumer preference and cost reduction) from a technical/ commercialization perspective in collaboration with Franchise Operations, Corporate, Global packaging &Equipment community, Packaging and Innovation departments, Research & Development Centers, and suppliers.
  • Work together with marketing department in the development and implementation of new package/new promotional technologies where technical support and expertise is needed.
  • Enhance System profitability with Systematic Value Chain Management to create competitive edge through Implementing Packaging & SME cost optimization projects.
  • Set targets to consistently achieve compliance with respect to local regulations & KO requirements and to go beyond compliance to lead the system in the communities where we operate, with the express intent of protecting our trademarks against current and anticipated changes with regards to packaging materials and programs that are environmentally friendly Lead authorization of packaging material/suppliers to enable the bottlers purchase authorized materials.
  • Develop and authorize packaging suppliers based on their operational and technological capacities to ensure that the interests, strategic needs, confidentiality, new technology implementation, cost and quality requirements of the Company is always met.
  • Coordinate Sustainable Packaging related activities together with Sustainability packaging manager.

Integrity Protection:
Manage risk associated with Package material compatibility, ensure adherence to all the KO/local food and hygienic regulations.

  • Develop, populate and update the Packaging &SME database to be shared with KO technical community.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 10 years' experience in R&D or innovation related jobs in Food/Beverage company who is actively and aggressively investing on innovations.
  • Experience in project coordination/management.
  • English and Spanish or Portuguese are required;

Mastery of _(required)_**- Broad Packaging Skills: knowledge of Packaging materials and the related production processes.

  • Specific Cold Drink Equipment Skills: Deep knowledge of product and Package interactions and handling requirement.
  • Engineering knowledge: knowledge of Equipment maintenance procedures & techniques to be able to evaluate associated cost & effectiveness.
  • Production Processes: Knowledge of syrup and beverage manufacturing processes. These include blending solids, blending liquids or juices, carbonation, filling, water treatment, packaging, cleaning and sanitation, or refrigeration technologies.
