Overview:


The Finance Manager (Portfolio Accounting) is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of the diverse Accounting Portfolios (Dealer, Wholesale, and Leasing & Insurance).

This position will be responsible for preparing financial reporting, implementing controls and analysis aligned with GMF accounting policy.


Location:
Monterrey, N.L.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the Portfolio Team (Supervisors & Analysts).
  • Provide information to prepare monthly tax payment.
  • Provide information to prepare Quarterly Financial Statements.
  • Prepare Accounting Reconciliations.
  • Prepare Close Metrics and variance reports.
  • Support audit Requirements.
  • Support SOX Requirements.
  • Prepare RFWD reports (B/S or Income statements).
  • Prepare information for Banks and regulatory authorities (CNBV, BMV)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Economics, or related.
  • Master's Degree is a plus
- +7 years of experience in accounting, Accounting principles: Local GAAP (NIF), USGAAP, and IFRS (is a plus)

  • Experience in accounting within Automotive Finance Industry is preferred but not a requirement
  • Spanish & English advanced proficiency (both verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of portfolio administration.
  • Knowledge of accounting for commissions, advance payments and other deferred accounting items.
  • Insurance accounting (preferable)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting for creditable and payable VAT
  • Portfolio reconciliations
  • Proficient knowledge of process mapping for accounting is a plus
  • Ability to perform accounting variance analysis
  • Experience in leading accounting projects
  • Experience or exposure to Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) (controls and their respective documentation is a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to produce documents, spreadsheets, databases, presentations etc. with Windowsbased software.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to create and maintain work relationships.
  • Advanced oral, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate to individuals and groups.
