Your Job:

DEPCOM is looking for a Director of Engineering to join the team and establish an engineering presence in Mexico.

This person will report to the CTO and will be responsible for growing and managing the engineering talent that we need for our future success.

As a key member of DEPCOM's leadership team this individual will be a key contributor to business strategy and direction.


Our team:


Depcom is a rapidly growing Solar and Energy Storage company, we are looking to establish an engineering center in Mexico to support PV and Energy Storage plant configuration, design, and technology road mapping.


What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Identify and hire talent for the local Mexico team
  • Manage a team of mechanical, civil, and electrical, engineers designing PV and Storage plants
  • Coordinate with existing engineering teams in the United States to build capabilities, tools, standards, and engineering designs
  • Support the evaluation of different technologies and integrate them into our design capabilities
  • Foster an environment that allows the team to grow and thrive, championing our beliefs and values. Own and drive a Principle Based Management culture.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:


  • Principled entrepreneur, who is contribution motivated and seeks to find solutions that maximize business impact
  • Experience leading engineering projects and teams with connections back to the United States, effective communicator when working with teams in different locations
  • Travel to US engineering sites, periodic visits to construction and built sites to drive a detailed understanding of the engineering challenges in the real world
  • Familiarity and ability to view and edit AutoCAD files
  • Fluent in English
