Responsibility

  • Ensuring the implementation of global standards in the field of automation (e.g. PLC library, ePlan)
  • Develop standards for Charging (PLC, Traceability)
  • Manage Control Equipment Backups.
  • Supports operations needs. Design and modification of Logic for new devices "Error Proofing".
  • Responsible for the operation of Traceability Programs.
  • Complies with the company's Quality Policy.
  • Comply with the company's Safety and Environment Policy.
  • Participate in the WPS System.
  • Autonomous maintenance and repair of production equipment and related control units in line with Maintenance Plans
  • Error analysis and correction in case of equipment breakdowns
  • Programming of PLC controls
  • Programming of robots
  • Programming of PC controlled test benches (Visual-Basic, Lab-View)
  • Ensuring the constant technical availability of the system
  • Support the continuous improvement of machines, tools, equipment and processes
  • Keyence / Cognex Vision System implementation

Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in the area of controls Experience in PLC programming of the Rockwell family, Siemens (must), Torque Guns, ABB Robots.
  • 3+ years of practical automotive testing experience.
  • 3+ years LabView / TestStand and Embedded Systems
  • Ford Specific Requirements: Ford Q1 Knowledge, VWspecific requirements: Civil liability, VDA 6.3 process audits.
  • Knowledge in the IATF 16949 standard. (APQP,FMEA,SPC,MSA,PPAP)
  • MES, PLC/HMI, PC, EOL and Robot Programming
  • Autodesk, AutoCAD, LabVIEW, TestStand, SQL
  • Willing to travel 30%

Authority

  • Tests hardware design, setups, implementations and generate EOL documentation.
  • AC/DC wiring, PLC control programming, data acquisition setup and troubleshooting.
  • Performs tests on product improvement for new and current production on a timely basis.
  • Interacts with product engineering concerning the acquisition of test materials and specifications.
  • Designs and manufactures testing fixtures.
  • Designs and develop LabView and TestStand based on engineering test requirements
  • Setup and runs test equipment to required specifications and schedules.
  • Generate and follow up on cost reductions.
  • Provides technical leadership and direction to technicians
  • Lead the production preparation activity

KPI

  • BSME and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Technical aptitude to form hypothesis, verify test methods and draw conclusions.
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot Test Lab equipment.
  • Ability to understand engineering equations and technical relationships displayed using graphics and creates graphical output of test data.
  • Proven technical writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and reasoning skills necessary to express ideas for improvement and also accept alternative direction when required.
  • Must be team player with a positive attitude.
  • Work requirement requires adherence to safety precautions to avoid exposure to vapors, proper lifting techniques required to avoid strain and back injuries

Pay:
$32, $42,000.00 per month


Experience:

  • 25% (required)
