Major Purpose:


Provides basic level technical tax law assistance such as preparing basic tax forms under the coordination of a more senior tax analyst, performing basic tax research, and preparing analysis for more senior tax analysts.


Major Duties:


  • Coordinates and analyzes information required for preparation of tax returns or estimates and prepares the documents by the appropriate deadlines.
  • Researches and analyzes tax related issues that arise using various sources, including online systems.
  • Performs analysis for more senior tax analysts engaged in tax planning activities.
  • Interfaces with Tax Auditors and prepares responses to tax requirements and audits.
  • Prepares segments for more complex tax returns under the coordination of a more senior tax analyst.
  • Coordinates and analyzes accounting information in order to complete various reports by appropriate deadlines and identifies any potential planning opportunities from the data submitted.
  • Provides general assistance on various tax issues and tax planning projects.
  • Accounting or similar, Tax Master Degree desirable.

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge:


  • Ability to perform legal research using the internet plus various online tools and CD-ROM programs.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of tax law.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
