Technology Transfer Manager, R&D Project Lead

In a dynamic production environment, you'll be responsible for providing on-site technical expertise and guidance to for the overall technology transfer processes, ensure product deliverables meet up with Success Criteria (Quality Standards, Good Manufacturing Practices).

This role will lead the implementation of technology transfer, primary point of contact for interaction with other manufacturing sites and Global R&D on Product-Process development for the new factory.

You'll- Lead implementation of technology transfer via process / factory plant trials in conjunction with Internal & External Regional & Global Scientists and Global Engineers, while coordinating the technical implementation plan with product development scientists (Category R&D in Germany) and external technical resources to support factory construction until startup operations.


  • Manage the communications & information transfer as the Onsite Technical Project Leader, onsite primary point of contact for interaction with other manufacturing sites and Global R&D on Product-Process development for the new factory.
  • Provide onsite technical expertise and guidance to for the overall technology transfer processes, ensure product deliverables meet up with Success Criteria (Quality Standards, Good Manufacturing Practices), manage day to day resolution of manufacturing and product quality issues keeping in view opportunities for local / regional margin improvement initiatives which can be built into the factory design.
  • Partner proactively with site Quality Management/Quality Assurance managers to develop & implement Quality Systems (including but not limited to, SOPs for preventive measures (CAPA) to resolve product quality issues.
  • Orchestrate raw material sourcing strategies in partnership with Category R&D, Procurement and Site Management, identifying opportunities for raw material and formula harmonization with both EU & US factories
  • Collaborate with Global R&D, EU R&D for sharing Best Practices and dissemination of manufacturing process improvement and provide required training.
  • Facilitate/lead/coordinate IOPS core team activities in support of technology transfer (document review and approval; knowledge transfer; process support) to ensure that all relevant information and materials are successfully communicated and applied during manufacturing in accordance with agreed upon timeline.
  • Track team activities and timelines to ensure that the deliverables within the project plan are met and are timely.

You'll succeed because

You:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Engineering or other relevant degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Packaging, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and other relevant fields
  • Greenfield experience highly preferred
  • Lead and coordinate process validation
  • Have initiated process improvements to reduce costs whilst improving quality and customer service
  • Provide technical support to ensure best manufacturing and engineering practice
