PURCHASING COORDINATOR - COORDINADOR DE COMPRAS


American Turn-Key Fabricators is a leading engineering shop specializing in sanitary design for the food industry in
CALIFORNIA and NEVADA states.

The Purchasing Coordinator creates and maintains meaningful liaison with vendors to assure the constant procurement of supplies.

He/She confers with production managers to determine the amount and type of materials needed for a project and ensure that they are delivered to the manufacturing unit in a timely fashion.

Cumpliendo con los requisitos mencionados a continuación, poniendo énfasis en el conocimiento de materiales de grado alimenticio (medidas estándares, conversiones, conexiones, aplicaciones, etc), manejo de reportes e inventarios, atención a llamadas y correos, multitareas, trabajo bajo presión, trato con personal técnico, conocimientos en seguridad y contar con la suficiente experiência requerida, además de lo descrito en a continuación.

Duties and Responsabilities_

  • Oversees procurement, sourcing, and contracting of materials, supplies, equipment and services.
  • Implements department procedures and realizing department goals.
  • Handles the daytoday activities of the Procurement department.
  • Ensures competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
  • Maintains complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  • Prepares reports.
  • Schedules supplier visits and conducts competitor survey Execution and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties.
  • Coordinates with user departments and suppliers.
  • Supports relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of cost calculation and projects.
  • Coordinates with suppliers to ensure ontime delivery.
  • Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Storeroom

  • Reviews production schedule, to coordinate Quick books inventory module to stock appropriate minmax values for parts used.
  • Establishes and monitors storeroom inventory receipt and issue procedures to ensure availability of critical parts for any planned projects

Budget and Cost Control

  • Justifies all expenses related to projects and prepares reporting budgeting tools for CEO (Executive reports).
  • Monitors buyer spending to ensure compliance to budget and accurate reporting through the purchase order system.
  • Tracks parts and labor costs for each project to justify or prevent projects overspending; this includes labor and parts.

Safety

  • Promotes compliance with environmental regulations, for all personnel through training and enforcement procedures.
  • Works closely with all employees to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all implemented processes.
  • Ensures department adheres to established safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures that all personal protective equipment is properly utilized by all employees

Training & Development

  • Ensures that personnel are fully trained in all programs related to their areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures that all employees attend the OSHA scheduled trainings
  • Establishes policies and procedures for training/orienting new personnel.

Human Resources

  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels are always maintained to achieve assigned production levels.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:


  • In depth knowledge of purchasing strategies.
  • Thorough knowledge of the standard methods, practices and procedures utilized in the acquisition of inventory
