GENERAL SUMMARY: As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated Business Partners (BP).

It serves as a consultant to management on Human Resources related issues and will act as employee champion and change agent.

Assesses and anticipates HR-related needs communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management and seeks to develop integrated solutions.

The HRBP formulates partnership across the HR function to deliver value added service to BP and maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business units' financial position, its mid-range plans, its culture and its competition.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct weekly meetings with respective Business Partners.
  • Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metric in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, through and objective investigations.
  • Maintain indepth knowledge of legal requirements related to daytoday management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions.)
  • Works closely with BP management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increases productivity and retention.
  • Provide guidance and input on BP restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Followup to ensure training objectives are met.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

years' of experience managing employee relations issues.

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource discipline including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, performance management and employment laws.
  • Similar industries expérience a plus.
  • Knowledge in Organizational Development and training.
