Senior Operations Specialist
***
Role purpose:The Collateral Exam Unit's primary function is to support the secured/formula based /collateral-based lending portfolios in corporate, Global Trade, Venture Capital, Business Banking and the Special Credits Unit. In order to properly evaluate the performance of the assets pledged as collateral on the lending portfolios above, the Collateral Examiner must perform a variety of testing, validating, verifying and analyzing of the borrower's books and records. The Collateral Exam unit provides recommendations to the Relationship Managers, Commercial Executives and others regarding the adequacy, performance and the credit risk associated with the collateral pledged in support of the loan.

Main activities:

The Senior Operations Specialist is responsible for the duties supporting the operation of the Collateral Examination Unit.

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Scheduling of exams
Distribution of the exam reports
Database maintenance
Issuance of exam notification letters and exam set up packs
Archiving and various other administrative functions

Requirements

Qualifications:

Graduate or related experience.

Experience:

Risk management knowledge/experience in a financial services or consulting firm a plus.
Prior experience in data analysis and/or data quality/a plus

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills across various stakeholders with varying seniority
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/MS Access as well as SharePoint
Demonstrates courageous integrity and ability to challenge existing and new practices
Task and goal orientated, commercially minded, customer and results focused
Proven ability to work accurately/thoroughly within tight timescales and interact well within a multigeography team environment
Selfstarter with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and who can influence and motivate people around them.
