Purpose:

Ensure a solid qualification process for the launch of new products as well as active participation in the early management of E2E projects through the standardization of the manufacturing operations, analysis of the process capability to achieve CPk 1.33 or greater, compliance with quality control plans, implementation of quality management system requirements that ensure our products meet the needs and expectations of customers and consumers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Directly lead PLQ (Production Line Qualification) execution and active participate in first stages of New Product Development Process (NPD) such as TSLT and PPVs
Develop the qualification plan, execute and analyze the results of the PLQ.
Early identification and timely escalation of quality risks during all stages of NPD process.
Ensure standardization of productive process through Quality Control Plan compliance, and Process validation including Cpk and R&R studies.
Implement/ create quality control plans of new products / production lines
Ensure the implementation of inspection plans for new products components and bulks
Active participation and involvement in Quality audits
ISO 9001 & GMP ́s
Identify methods and technologies to improve quality and productivity for new products.
Use statistical techniques to develop and improve products and processes
Responsible for practicing SCJ Safety, Health & Environment guidelines in daily work and considering Safety, Health & Environment aspects and impacts when developing plans, methods or procedures

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

BS in Engineering, Chemical or appropriate field
Relevant experience in Quality and Operations / Qualification and Validation Process
Advance knowledge of applied statistics including process capability, sampling, and design of experiments
Strong knowledge and experience in the process and technical management requirements of Quality Laboratory (Packaging, raw material, and microbiology).
Strong knowledge and experience in basic quality tools, such as Control Plan, SPC, AQL, R&R, Sample Size & Confidence Interval, Problem Solving, FMEA and Lean tools.
Advance knowledge in GMPs, Risk Management and Change of Management Process
Excellent oral & written communication skills, in both Spanish and English
Good communication and coordination skills with all levels of inside/outside of the organization
Strong sense of responsibility
Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
English: advanced (daily interaction with US and global teams is required
)

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

Quality system auditing experience: Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Relevant process engineering experience
Experience in Statistical Processes Control (SPC) and MINITAB
Experience in Laboratory Standards, Physicalchemical analysis for raw material, packaging components, and microbiology.
