    Cost Estimator is a function of Global Total Cost (GTC) as part of Product Development. Estimators are responsible of developing cost manufacturing estimates and deliver them to the Program in different milestones of GPDS. CE are key players on Cost Savings for the company.
    • Preferred 3+ years of Work experience (Assembly Plant, PD, Purchasing).
    • Advanced English.
    Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or related degree.
    • Knowledge on manufacturing Processes such as Low & High Pressure Die Casting, Forging, Painting, Chrome, Machining & Assembly.
    • Understanding of main concepts of Lean Manufacturing.
    • Significant experience leading negotiation of high cost complex agreements (Piece cost or tooling/investment).
    Working knowledge on any Cost Process, Purchasing/Sourcing Processes at major manufacturing automotive suppliers' parts or OEM's.
    • Learning Agility, Preventive Approach, Leadership, effective and clear Communication.
    • Teamwork and interpersonal skills particularly to deal positively with multiple simultaneous competing priorities from different stake holders.
    • Developing Optimal Cost Estimates to support targets on Forward Models Programs (BoB, DEA, CDR, etc).
    • Responsible to do teardown components of the Vehicle for TVM & Benchmarking processes in order to do Competitive Analysis and get Cost reductions.
    • Support supplier site visits to review Quotes and identify Cost Opportunities (mainly) in the Chain Value.
    • CE Evaluate potential designs, from a process perspective and highlight potential opportunities, analyzes competitive vehicles from a cost, weight, and feature attribute perspective to determine how Ford vehicles and commodities compare.
    • Actively Support Buyers during cost negotiations.
