HR Manager. As a key member of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen management team, you will be a strategic and hands-on contributor aligning business objectives with effective and equitable human resources best practices.
Job Description:
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, increase productivity, and retention
- Advise supervisors and managers on methods, approaches to solve complex employee relation issues
- Implement human resources policies and procedures
- Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations, provide support for appropriate corrective actions
- Supervise administrative functions of HR team including, recruitment and retention, employee relations, benefit administration, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Lead and develop team members
- Provide effective, efficient talent recruitment and retention strategies
Job Requirements:
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 5 years' operational HR experience in a production environment
- Experience in resolving complex employee relation issues
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, talent acquisition, federal and state employment laws
- Capability to influence senior members of the business
- Ability to oversee HRIS administration, timekeeping/payroll, benefits administration, employee safety, and leave management
- Facility to develop strong trusting relationships, advocate for employees
- Initiative to identify and anticipate business needs and make recommendations for implementation
- Clear communication style, written and verbal, English fluency is a must
- Willingness to travel is required
- Possible change of residence
