Eaton's ESSG CPSD PDD Power Delivery Division division is currently seeking a Specialist Engineer.


What you'll do:

Eaton's electrical sector is currently seeking a Specialist Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our
Nacogdoches facility. Relocation assistance will be provided.

"a) Provide Engineering design support for productivity improvement projects through effective participation on cross-functional teams
b) Lead Engineering efforts on critical direct material cost-out projects, including idea development, prototype, project
execution, and plant/business system implementation
c) Support plant and Product Management cost out activities
d) Ownership of overall project management for VA/VE projects
e) Utilize ProLaunch tollgate methodology to lead VA/VE projects with cross functional teams at multiple sites with overall project timeline execution responsibilities
f) Coordinate with operations group at manufacturing facilities to implement VA/VE projects
g) Manage day to day activities of sustaining engineering team to accomplish the goals and objective established by the engineering Manager
h) Develop DFMEA and test plan documentation required for thorough product improvements/development.
i) Conduct Engineering analysis, including material specifications, effect of changes on meeting Product Standards, and testing of functional models.
j) Coordinate and implement changes in product Bill of Materials within SAP based on ECN's, new product notices, and factory floor updates.
k) Hands on approach to testing, including proof of concept, design validation and third party approvals as applicable"


Qualifications:


  • Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future "


Minimum 5 years in engineering or a science discipline - Experience working in electrical sector - Transformer core and coil design and test procedures - Knowledge of Six Sigma and Stage Gate Processes (DFSS, DMAIC, etc) - Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing - Design optimization CAD Knowledge of design optimization software (TDS-OPT, COR-OPT, KBE, etc.)



  • Basic FEA analysis knowledge
  • Understanding of Industry Standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI, etc)
  • Experience in project management
    Skills:
- " Knowledge of manufacturing and testing methodologies
  • Good oral, interpersonal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
  • Works to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Computer knowledge and the ability to use Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to analyze and solve routine problems.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary groups.
  • Ability to work with multicultural teams.
