    JOB DESCRIPTION
    In this role, you will be focused on improving the performance of our quality to achieve production excellence. This position is of high visibility and
    key to the succession plans of the business. The Quality Engineer, working within the company Business Management System, supports Production,
    Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering and the Quality Group (QA Lab and Document Control) in their efforts to meet or exceed our
    customers' expectations and ensures that quality levels are maintained, while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.
    The successful candidate will formulate, recommend and direct research and development programs to meet organization needs for the
    improvement and cost reduction of existing products and processes, as well as the introduction of new products and processes.
    As part of our team, you will work cross-functionally within Supply Chain, Operations, Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality on projects. Ability
    to work multiple functions and influence others is key to the role.

    ABOUT YOUR ROLE
    This position is of high visibility and key to the succession plans of the business. The Quality Engineer, working within the company Business
    Management System, supports Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering and the Quality Group (QA Lab and Document Control)
    in their efforts to meet or exceed our customers' expectations and ensures that quality levels are maintained, while minimizing costs and maximizing
    productivity.
    ● Coordinate quality matters related to customer quality such as product complaint, customer claim (with Finance), 8D report evaluation and
    submission, follow-up to assess the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
    ● Leads problem solving and continuous improvement projects
    ● Provide internal production quality support related to issue resolution, product quality/risk assessment and product disposition
    ● Provide plant quality support and representation in new product development, specification reviews and approvals, scale up, design
    transfer, facility validation activities, and the establishment and maintenance of quality control standards
    ● Working cross-functionally, maintain Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs, and Control Plans
    ● Provide assistance in the QA lab to perform product measuring and testing if required
    ● Ability to work across functional boundaries and interface with these business disciplines in a significant manner - laboratory,
    manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing functions as needed to carry out assignments
    ● Manage training programs in QMS areas, as required
    ● Conducts quality audits for the QMS, products, processes, and if required suppliers
    ● Develop systemic improvements to the plant quality system
    ● Provide input into the development and maintenance of the Site Business(Quality) Management System

    IATF & Intergraded Management System (IMS) Responsibility:
    Implement IATF certification; Maintenance control and development of the system along with our current ISO
    certifications.
    As member of the top management team for the IMS, fulfill the following duties with a specific focus on IMS
    Performance, Organizational Content, Leadership, Planning and Improvement, Operations, Administrative and EHS, as well
    focus on studies to determine process capabilities on site.
    ● Ensure IMS responsibilities and authorities for each role under their charge are assigned, understood, and communicated.
    ● Capabilities to stop production if non conformities related to the product or process is detected.
    ● Ensuring the integrity of the system during IMS changes.
    ● Ensure the IMS complies with the applicable ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements
    ● Promoting customer focus including portal support, as required
    ● Reporting on IMS performance and opportunities
    Activities may include, but are not limited to:
    ● Manage nonconforming product and Material Review Board and all bonded inventory
    ● Maintain test & measurement equipment calibration program
    ● Provide quality engineering support to automotive products
    ● Manage all complaints for assigned products and maintain quality metrics
    ● Support Customer Specific Requirements, Scorecard review, maintenance, and associated tasks
    ● Supervise the inspection and test functions
    - Incoming inspection
    - Daily product performance testing
    - Provide technical support to Production inspectors
    - Maintain associated quality metrics and objectives, conducting monthly reviews
    ● Maintain all IMS-related documentation, e.g. Quality Manual, Procedures, Work instructions, and forms
    ● Maintain safety/environmental documentation
    ● Provide statements to customers upon request
    ● Document control of products released from Design Engineering, including customer's special characteristics and manuals
    - Manage, review and process NPD releases ECOs & QAD data entry and maintenance
    ● Design and create product labels for packaging
    - Internal, automotive customer, supplier use (end products)

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE:
    ● IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 knowledge.
    ● 3-5 years of relevant experience in Quality.
    ● Interest in advancement to Quality Management
    ● English. Verbal and written communication.
    ● Ability to take on increased responsibility, special initiatives, and leadership role. Eagerness to learn & grow within the organization.
    ● Strong communication skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical skills and aptitude and logical problem solving skills necessary.
    ● Competency in objective setting, and providing appropriate situational leadership to execute these strategies.
    ● Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently in a dynamic factory environment.
    ● Trouble shooting ability and capability to evaluate multiple variables to arrive at the optimum solution.
    ● Must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.
    ● Strong service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take initiative to understand root cause
    then communicate/educate team in a timely manner
    ● Experience handling multiple responsibilities with minimal direction.
    ● Able to effectively work with various functions and levels within the organization.
    EDUCATION:
    ● Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical related field.
    ● Certification in quality engineering, quality management, or auditing is a plus
