This position is responsible for Guarantee Compliance with the Concession and the regulations in relation to the validity of the Federal Railway Licenses for Railway Technical Personnel, which include yard and road crews and other areas like infraestructure and Transportation in order to avoid sanctions by the Regulatory Authority and Impacts on Railway Operation for expired Federal Licenses.

As well as attention to regulatory issues of verifications and administration of contracts and project database in the Concessioned Right of Way.

Works independently and receives mínimal guidance. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Leads projects with moderate scope, risks, and resource requirements. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Develops and manages operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.


Accountabilities

  • Coordinates and supervises that the Crews, Training, Healt and Safety, Transportation and Infraestructure areas meet the requirements to comply with the renewals and issuance of Federal Licenses for Railway Technical Personnel.
  • Develops procedures and guides to ensure that the Railway Technical Personnel have the necessary information to carry out their procedures for the issuance or renewal of Federal Licenses.
  • Supervises and provides the necessary support from the help desk for the Railway Technical Staff to clarify doubts about the use of the systems or about the documentation required by the authority.
  • Coordinates with the regulatory authority the attention of the cases in which the Railway Technical Personnel present difficulties in the Federal Railway license process.
  • Manages and ensures that the computer support equipment located in different locations on the network for Federal Licensing procedures are in operation and with the necessary information for their use at any time.
  • Coordinating the positions to support crews in the process of renewal of LFF that are in the different locations.
  • Generates followup reports to guarantee that the personnel have the current Federal Licenses and timely actions are taken if necessary.
  • Establishes controls to provide the necessary evidence of federal licensing procedures as well as implement systems to facilitate license administration.
  • Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Establishes followup procedures and controls for the correct followup of observations issued in verifications by the regulatory authority.
  • Manages contracts and databases of thirdparty projects in the Concessioned Right of Way.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Conditions

  • This position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends.
  • This position may require mínimal travel up to 10% of the time.
