    About the role:

    The Collections Specialist plays a key role in driving our transformation by safeguarding the company's financial health while embodying our core values of Passion for Innovation, Cultivate Collaboration, Leverage Difference, and Accountability.

    This position proactively manages trade receivables to reduce aging, minimize bad debt, and mitigate financial risk, all while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The specialist works cross-functionally to resolve complex account issues, continuously improve processes, and make informed credit and order-release decisions with a strong sense of ownership and integrity.

    What You'll Do:

    • Proactively monitor and collect assigned customer accounts to reduce receivables aging while maintaining strong, positive customer relationships.
    • Consistently maintain aged receivables at or below company delinquency targets through diligent follow-up, sound judgment, and strong ownership of results.
    • Resolve disputes and payment exceptions efficiently, ensuring timely, accurate, and customer-focused solutions.
    • Investigate, analyze, and resolve short payments and customer deductions to ensure accurate application and prompt recovery.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with peers, leadership, and Sales regarding receivables status, disputes, and collection activities to ensure transparency and alignment.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and divisions to foster strong working relationships that support customer satisfaction and company profitability.
    • Review customer accounts and release orders in compliance with credit policies for customers in good standing.

    What You Bring:

    • Education: High school diploma required; Associate's in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience: B2B collections, customer service, ERP systems (Microsoft D365), and Power BI; process improvement and ERP implementation experience a plus.
    • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Performance: Results-driven, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
    • Work Style: Self-motivated, accountable, adaptable, and capable of working independently.
    • Customer Focus: Professional demeanor with a focus on delivering excellent service and resolving issues effectively.
