In the last 5 years, Innovation Diageo brands have been positively performing doubling the size of what Innovation is. We have expanded our portfolio, improved in our omnichannel execution offering new and relevant products to our consumers.

Throughout this journey, Diageo has developed numerous Innovation Commercial strategies bringing to life great & winner innovation plans targeting new and bigger occasions, trends, and consumers.

However, market accelerated growth, more demanding customers and consumers and new ways to enjoy our brands demand today agility, launches differentiation and Innovation products proposal to continue leading the growth and development of this strategic and key portfolio for years to come.


MARKET COMPLEXITY

  • In Mexico, Innovation has been year after year positively performing, bringing +50% of Growth and representing 13% of total Diageo Mexico NSV, however, as the market expands, new trends come, competitors react and we have to move faster and be part of a continuous transformation delivering great Innovation plans to continue leading in the market.
  • It's our responsibility as market leaders to transform the way we Innovate and commercialize our Innovation brands in order to create value for our customers, differentiation within the category and out of it, and stronger Commercial foundations for our brands to thrive and win in a competitive environment.
  • PURPOSE OF ROLE
  • To identify and lead Innovation opportunities, developing, managing, and improving our execution delivering a benchmark and flowless Innovation Commercialization model that guarantees sustainable growth through an omnichannel perspective within all the commercial calendar agenda with a clear and strategic activation plan.
  • FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
  • Responsible for Innovation pipeline projects (baseline, sustain, and new in AOP), some with 100% intervention and ownership (with LM guideline) others full executing model ownership (with LM guideline); delivering
- + 238M MXP in GSV, +119K cases, Monitoring (A&P & TS for each project) and delivering G5 KPIs

  • KEY FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible of G5 plan execution
  • Drive all Omnichannel Commercialization targets in line with our 365 Essential and Growth Drivers
  • Define Clear KPI per Chanel to track to deliver each project targets
  • Create an unified tracking framework
  • Monitor Execution Scorecards (with clear KPIs for a all projects)
  • Keep communication with stakeholders and multifunctional teams with status, stages, results
  • Manage budget monitoring A&P and TS for each project, deliver strong M&E on activities and drive promotional effectiveness (ROI)
  • Guarantee Promotional activities planning
  • Forecasting accuracy (volume promoted, sell in, sell out of each project)
  • Strong Data Analysis and Mental agility extracting rationales
  • Planning & Priorization
  • KEY LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Innovation Commercialization Manager works with Diageo ́s Marketing, Sales, Finance, Customer Marketing, Supply & Demand Teams, and with our customers to identify opportunities for Innovation brands, developing, managing, and executing the commercial calendar and activation plan.

This role is accountable for:

  • Lead decision making on the execution of the commercial calendar and activity plan, with clear growth Drivers, customer propositions that will be implemented to unluck growth, working closely with Marketing, Commercial Managers and Customer Marketing.
  • Act and be the key link between Marketing, and Sales teams by leading and engaging all relevant parties to deliver our business plan, ensuring right optimization of resources (not only investment)
  • Monitor, collect feedback, learnings, evaluates execution and be able to adjust in any time of the process achieving the best performance of the project

  • Able to mobilize the business around a clear goal and engage key stakeholders at all levels, multifunctional teamwork, and crossfunctional leadership
