TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service.

They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners.

They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage.

Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of specific commodity areas.
Drive supplier performance improvements in key KPIs ontime delivery performance, quality, cost and lead time as well as inventory reduction programmed and payment terms.
Identify supplier risks, and actively manage, ensuring necessary actions are taken to mitigate the risks.
Identify true cost drivers to help deliver competitive supplier pricing.
Monitor vendor Key Performance Indicators monthly, implementing corrective action plans where appropriate.
Identify and approve new valueadding vendors in line with Business Unit and corporate policies.
Work closely with supply chain and operations to ensure continuity of supply to the business.
Ensure compliance to TE policies, procedures and quality standards.
Generate and analyse data and reports to show individual and supplier performance.
Produce and give presentations to suppliers and internal customers.
Support the strategic sourcing analyst as required.

Qualifications:

Degree in Business, Industrial Eng. Or similar
2+ years' experience in a similar role on a multinational environment, ideally in a manufacturing company.
Strong level of English (spoken and written).
Good SAP knowledge beneficial.
Basic to mid MS Excel knowledge

A confident and effective negotiator.
Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with suppliers.
Ability to manage both supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
The ability to organize and prioritize a rapidly changing set of objectives.
