ABOUT WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION

The team you will be a part of:

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary:

The Day to Day Engineer will manage multiple project schedules to ensure timely execution and delivery of product design optimization opportunities. Maintain manufacturing productivity by resolving factory issues associated with product design in alignment with subsystem teams. Identify and capture efficiency opportunities through product design improvements. Will scope ideas and bring them to execution using the Whirlpool Product Development methodology for minor projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conduct and support idea generation in workshops to develop cost pipeline
-
Scope ideas in order to understand project feasibility ( technical / financial)
-
Analyze SIR information to generate insights on field trends and open Quality projects
-
Analyze BOM information to generate cost ideas
-
Execute cost and quality projects following the WPD methodology
-
Able to make BOM changes in Windchill / SAP
-
Create Engineering changes to literature update or creation
-
Create FMEA ( Failure Modes, and Effect Analysis)
-
Create DVP&R (Design Validation Plan & Report)
-
Create work plans ( schedules) to complete projects and introduce changes into production
-
Support CN work related to PSM2 management.

Interact with internal and external stakeholders as part of the project execution ( suppliers, Procurement, Subsystems, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality)

Minimum requirements:

-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
-
2+ years of experience
-
Proficient in English
-
Good communication skills
-
Good project management skill

Preferred skills and experiences:

-
Intermediate user of MS Excel or Google Sheets
-
Good analytical skills
-
SAP / Windchill experience as a plus
