    The Team You Will Be A Part Of

    The Material Management team is responsible for inventory audits and maintaining inventory at optimum levels. We develop procedures to enhance the effectiveness of inventory control programs and coordinate with relevant departments to schedule, audit, and reconcile periodic physical inventories.

    This Role In Summary

    As a Material Planner, you will ensure that all materials required for our production arrive on time. Your role involves bringing solutions to the team to reach departmental goals and fulfill commitments made with our customers while keeping track of our inventories.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    1. Coordinate operational activities with national and foreign suppliers authorized by Whirlpool.
    2. Ensure compliance with suppliers' requirements, referring to delivery times, shipping points, arrival points, shipping frequencies, necessary documentation, minimum quantities, multiple quantities, and appropriate shipping methods.
    3. Facilitate communication between the plant and the supplier to ensure process efficiency.
    4. Manage and ensure compliance with inventory policies according to the company's strategy.
    5. Calculate the appropriate safety inventory to ensure the availability of material and continuity of production processes.
    6. Participate in determining the effectiveness of engineering changes, ensuring not to generate material obsolescence.
    7. Facilitate solutions and possible alternatives to risk situations that compromise the continuity of processes.
    8. Review contingency plans with suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements.
    9. Compile improvement reports (MEWO) from suppliers.
    10. Participate in production, Technology, and Quality meetings.
    11. Monitor supplier shipments until they arrive at the plant.
    12. Develop talent and the spirit of teamwork.
    13. Participate in projects for the implementation of WCM in LCS.
    14. Negotiate delivery quantities and shipping method of materials with suppliers.
    15. Manage changes to the production schedule.
    16. Request adjustment of parameters in SAP that lead us to good inventory control.
    17. Convene supplier performance review sessions.
    18. Authorize the scheduling of additional and expedited transportation units.
    19. Carry out activities for capital reduction.

    Minimum Requirements

    Educación: Licenciatura en Negocios Internacionales o Ingeniería afín a cadena de suministro. Experiencia: Planeación de Materiales (mínimo 2 años). SAP (modulo MM deseable). Importaciones/Exportaciones. Administración de Materiales. Manejo de Proveedores (US, Nacionales, Locales y OVS). Toma de decisiones. Análisis de Información. Administración de Proyectos. Formación: Planeación estratégica. Cadena de suministro. Estadística. Análisis de la información. Habilidades: Inglés (de negocios avanzado). Herramientas de Google Suite (avanzado). Microsoft Excel (avanzado). Trabajo en equipo. Solución de problemas.
