    Actuaries are responsible for maintaining adequate solvency margins so that the insurer can meet its obligations to policyholders.

    In the case of actuarial team this opportunity is given in even the most sensible and highly complex situations where the health and well being of our insureds and clients is touched and where we can make a significant difference at that level.

    About the roleWhat you need to know:The primary purpose of the job is to contribute to assess statutory technical reserves and capital requirements, support requirements from regulators and auditors and contribute other actuarial functions and actuarial LAC projects.

    Your contribution at AIGThe employee will manage databases, will use dynamic queries, will be in contact with power bi for the development of reports, will perform data cleaning, will perform data mining, will use analytical thinking for decision making, will use a good English level in order to communicate with the lac actuarial team and most importantly, will develop critical thinking for making relevant decisions for the company.

    Duties and Responsibilities1.

    Functional Responsibilities:
    ReservingProduct RegistrationContributing on local actuarial requirements, preparing reports and attending audits. Supporting statutory actuarial functions.
    Automating processes and reportsAnalyze results and variations of AIG Reserves.
    Data cleaning2.


    Accountabilities:
    Strong problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills to team, teamwork, proactivity, ability to anticipate problems, collaborative and helpful.
    Company Solvency depends on Finance Actuary particularly on strong and adequate Reserving and Capital Requirements. 3.

    Leadership SkillsExcellent communication skills, both written & verbalGood presentation skills and file knowledgeTime management – ability to manage & prioritize workload and diary managementAbility to contribute effectively within a team environment and with internal/external stakeholders at all levelsAbility to assist with technical training to team claim handlers as requiredAbility to influence claims and non-claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy 4.

    Technical Skills and Expertise -Database Management (SQL)

    • Microsoft software such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Macros)
    • Knowledge of local regulations and CUSF Manual.
    • English (B2)

    What we're looking for:
    Experience:recent graduate of actuary career.

    Along with technical skills required for the job, soft skills like effective broker engagement, teamwork, proactive management, effective time management/prioritization, calendar organization.

    Effective analytical and attention to detail.
