The position responsibilities will include Install/Deliver/Operate network and compute infrastructure across several data center locations, be responsible for day to day assistance with capacity management and data center operations, including Break & Fix support.

Will work closely with both internal and external customers and vendors to facilitate very fast paced and smooth projects executions.

Key job responsibilities

Be prudent and be competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software and fiber connectivity all combined with a proven project delivery methodology.
Follow agreed timelines as there are high levels of autonomous work where you will need to be comfortable working individually to ensure the stability and sustainability of AWS nextgeneration networks.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
Probably 12hrs straight working shifts an ability to participate in oncall rotation and provide afterhours support as needed.
Work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling and always think about ways to improve the current procedures and processes.
Receive, Install and Deploy new racks and new network and compute equipment.
Perform cabling, labelling, certification and patching of server positions to network equipment.
Perform inventory of tools, materials and spare parts.
Provide Break & Fix support for all the network, storage and compute equipment and services.
Provide full Data Center basic operations, including facilities and IT support.
Manage/Update work through ticketing system and workflows.
Partner with multiple stakeholders to remove project's obstacles.
Broad knowledge with major networking operating systems (Cisco IOS, Cisco NXOS, JunOS, etc).
Professional experience with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE, COBIT) and Operational Excellence concepts or methodologies is a plus.
Experience with small to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within work environment.
Good understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers, Switches, Load Balancers and Firewalls, Compute servers, Racks, and pieces such as FCPU, RAM, Disk, FAN, PSU, etc.
Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements.
