The Quality Manager role is to provide leadership and management of a multi-function team in the areas of safety, quality, Engineering, and cost performance over Spectra-strip product lines.

The Quality Manager is accountable for the products being sent out meet consumer expectations.

It's their responsibility to train their staff to recognize defects and imperfections at all stages of the manufacturing and packaging process to uphold consistent quality standards.

Driving a culture of continuous improvement in all facets of the operation is necessary for success.

Partners with Materials, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality and Production Teams to set production center goals and objectives that align with the needs of the Customer and BU targets.

Accountable for the business P&L, meeting and improving financial margins. Determining and implementing world class quality control mindset and standards. Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards. Facilitate effective and actionable Gemba walks utilizing KPIs to meet performance objectives and drive continuous improvement. Provides leadership to junior staff including establishing objectives, setting goals, and managing accountability for attaining deliverables. Manages production operation expenses and budgets for the production center, including direct and indirect manufacturing expenses and capital expenses. Coordinate NPI activities to manage introduction of new product meting quality and productivity standards. Ensuring use of technical review process to release NPI products.

Experiência y requisitos

Professional experience in production and/or manufacturing, especially working with assembly line processes, Minimum five years of experience. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in Spanish and English. Communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings, and status reports. Knowledge of the product to perform accurate quality control. Analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws. Ability to handle stress. Ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting standards.
