As a member of the enginering team, the engineer will design and engineer ASME pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping systems.

This position
involves a high degree of latitude and creativity to solve problems in a fast paced atmosphere. The engineer will guide drafting on the creation of general arrangement


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directs preparation of product layout and detailed drawings or schematics.
  • Directly or indirectly involved in the creation of calculations, GA drawings, detail drawings, BOM,
datasheets, and any special manufacturing details as required.

  • Interacts with internal departments such as Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing to clarify or resolve problems.
  • Collaborate actively at the fulfilment of the administration systems (management) of security and health (OHAS18001) and the administration systems (management) of the
environment (ISO14001) and the administration systems (management) of the quality (ISO 9001).

  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the plant in general and in particular of the work place, following the guidelines the 6's.
  • Do all the activities according to the stablished in the guidelines of quality
  • Fulfil and guarantee the compliance of the health, security and environment politics.
  • Comply with norms, regulations and y etic code of the Company.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs

The Individual
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with pressure vessel designs per ASME Section VIII, piping systems, instrument selection. Demonstrates the ability to complete complex projects on time and on budget Manages multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Possesses advanced problem solving and significant decision making abilities


EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mecatronical Engineering

4 to 8 years of related experience designing ASME pressure vessels and piping systems in a manufacturing environment.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Advance English Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively communicate clearly and effectively with peers, shop personnel, and customers, and with other departments.

Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,


REGISTRATIONS:
None required, however, any certifications regarding lean/continuous improvement preferred e.g., Six Sigma certification


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Requires experience with the following computer programs: MS Office products - primarily Outlook, Word, Excel Design software including Design Calcs or Compress,
MathCAD, and/or 3D CAD-SolidEdge is preferred. Teamcenter knowledge is a plus.
