Your role at Baxter

As a Senior Specialist IT UI/UX CoE, you will be reporting to Sr Manager, UI-UX CoE, & the Senior Specialist IT UI/UX Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our organization's UI/UX efforts in close collaboration with other IT teams and business stakeholders.

Your role will be critical in driving a user-centered design approach while ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.

What you'll be doing

  • Research and evaluate user requirements/needs in collaboration with product managers and engineers using Design Thinking Methodology
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes (low to high fidelity)
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Perform Prototype Testing and use feedback from stakeholders and end users to improve designs
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems by performing UI & Accessibility Testing (e.g. responsiveness, UI)
  • Ensure Portals are harmonized reusing already applied styles according to the branding guidelines
  • Ensure design components and files are properly organized in Sketch and Invision
  • Support Design Center of Excellence in building and maintaining a design system
  • Support Design Center of Excellence with Design Reviews from other agencies

What you'll bring

  • 3 or more years of experience as a UI/UX Designer
  • Ability to discuss and explain design options/decisions
  • Experience with design software (e.g. Sketch, InVision) and graphics editing tools (e.g. Photoshop) any additional tool is an addon
  • Familiarity with design techniques (e.g. prototyping)
  • Understanding of visual elements (layout, type, fonts etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX practices, including user research, interaction design, and visual design
  • To be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented and proactive
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
  • Creativity skills and problemsolving aptitude
  • Experience working with agile methodologies
  • UI design portfolio
  • BSc/BA in Design or a related field
