- Become a subject matter expert on one or more services
- Provide support activities for these services and collaborate closely with development teams to enhance service support
- Follow guidance from management and proactively work towards issue resolution
- Grasp the business logic and structure of supported services to efficiently address unresolved trouble tickets
- Comprehend and modify complex application code to resolve support issues
- Offer guidance, training, documentation, and resources to fellow Support Engineers to improve their support capabilities
- Contribute regularly to the enhancement of all support documentation
- Execute code builds and deployments while maintaining clear communication throughout the process
- Establish and interpret metrics to evaluate support effectiveness and service efficiency
- Aid in the development and enhancement of operational policies and procedures for teams and internal clients
- Actively participate in team work planning
- Possess the ability to create simple and effective tools to boost operational efficiency
- Learn to participate in the design and development of support tools following software engineering best practices
- Mentor other Support Engineers, and play a role in interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Java Programming and Linux Operating System experience
- Demonstrated success as an individual contributor, managing standard operating procedures and internal processes
- Strong team skills for interaction with users at all levels in a team setting
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences
