    Assembly Process Engineer

    Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Process Engineer to support the development of processes in our Energy Management, Home and Distribution division in Tijuana, Mexico.

    This role will be responsible for developing full and semi-automated assembly processes for new product introduction, using a systematic approach to qualification and transfer to operations.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, with experience in industrialization of new products, Lean and Six Sigma techniques, and application of computer-aided design and analysis.

    We are looking for someone who can work independently, with minimal supervision, and has excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

    The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, and 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing industry directly supporting assembly operations.

    The Assembly Process Engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary project team, working closely with technical, purchasing, industrialization, marketing, quality on projects lasting one to three years.

    • Develop full and semi-automated assembly processes for new product introduction.
    • Use a systematic approach to qualification and transfer to operations.
    • Collaborate with design function during product design phase to guide Design for Assembly (DFA).
    • Evaluate and validate product design alternatives to create optimum process designs.
    • Create detailed capacity analysis studies using various assembly methods and techniques.
    • Define material flow and handling used to supply the process.
    • Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products.

    Please note that travel may be required up to 30% (domestic and international based on project assignment).
