Amentum is the contract service provider to the DOJ ICITAP and Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) programs.


JOB DUTIES:


Work with ICITAP management team and program advisors in planning and carrying out professional law enforcement training programs in a variety of criminal justice fields to include but not limited to criminal, leadership, and forensic training courses tailored to meet specialized needs of Mexican law enforcement.

Develop short
- and long-term strategies for acquiring and maintaining training material and equipment needs on a consistent and standardized basis.
Support instructors' requests for training materials, training aids, manuals/handouts/lesson plan
Reproduction.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Mexican Law Enforcement training personnel and institutions in an effort to assist the instructional staff in obtaining proper classrooms, equipment and all other necessary arrangements in anticipation of training activities.

Ensure Mexican Government requests are addressed and incorporated into preparations for training activities planned.

Monitor compliance by Mexican agencies/academies on agreed upon training schedules dates and times, prepares diplomas in accordance with instructions from management, Mexican Government, and advisors/instructors.

Ensure vetting of students has taken place and inform program advisors and instructional staff of results.

Maintain working relationship with US law enforcement agencies and other embassy personnel to ensure continuity of daily training operation in support of instructors in areas of travel, transportation, material support, and training schedules.

Prepare necessary training reports and documents for management, program advisors, and instructors.
Maintain contact with instructors throughout in-country schedule.

Maintain training course files and records and works closely with ICITAP accounting staff to ensure availability of funds and to ensure compliance with contract regulations and training related purchases of equipment and materials.

Identify training facilities, when requested, and ensure unique training requirements are met and delivered.

Unique training sites include outside field work sites s and interacts with GOM personnel to ensure coordination of work site requirements for instructors.

Coordinate invitational travel requests from program advisors for visits to the United States and other countries by Mexican law enforcement, as well as visiting US law enforcement personnel traveling to Mexico to lend expertise to training and technical assistance objectives.

Develop and present pre
- and post-training course briefings to GOM personnel traveling to the US or other countries for training.
Translate, when necessary, training program documents in English and Spanish. Documents will be non-technical in nature, primarily correspondence in furtherance of training requests and coordination efforts.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working in a Mexican (or Spanish-speaking) law enforcement organization or related government agency, in a coordinating/assisting role
Training/education in related field. Equivalent training will be considered in lieu of a college degree, contingent upon the training.


CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated capacity to determine and learn correct processes and regulations of program operations and ensure compliance
Knowledge of the operations of a law enforcement agency
Experience an instructor/trainer or advisor on criminal justice agency development programs
Ability to form strong partnerships in a diverse culture
Ability to work independently, working with mínimal supervision and exercise independent judgment on a regular basis
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in an international environment under demanding conditions
Native written and spoken Spanish-language skills
Ability to communicate effectively in English
