JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for actively and continuously improving performance of suppliers in the responsible region in terms of quality, delivery and technology.

Essential Functions:

Lead and champion quality and problemsolving methodologies.
Resolve medium impact/complex issues at plant and supplier locations.
Manage suppliers through PAVE.
Ensure success of APQP projects for suppliers (DMI+).
Define and agree on actions with suppliers to meet PPM targets.
Develop suppliers' systems in all aspects of quality and safety.
Assure agreement for obtainable design/process controls.
Advanced in assessing the criteria for technology auditing and benchmarking.
Lead and train IATF16949, VDA6.3, and PSA audit.
Ability to mentor Supplier and Plant Quality Engineers in all the above processes.

Knowledge:

Advanced knowledge of APQP, VDA 6.3, PSA, IS9000:2000, IATF 16949 and QMPP
Advanced knowledge of statistics
Advanced knowledge of SAP
Advanced knowledge of quality core tools
Proficient with problemsolving tools

Experience:

57 years' experience in Quality and Supplier Quality Engineering:
Leading teams
Managing projects
Working with manager level at suppliers
Dealing with confrontation

Skills:

Advanced negotiation skills
Effective communication skills
Advanced statistical and analytical skill
Advanced auditing skills
Advanced problemsolving skills
Advanced organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong ability to read GD&T
Multitasking skills
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment

Education:

Bachelor of Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Master's degree a plus
Green Belt certification preferred
