Job Description:
General Objectives:
The test engineering leader ensures proper test processes and procedures. Lead test engineers with the sense of urgency, accuracy, and transparency. Ensure efficiency in test methods, data gathering and reporting results. As at technical support, test developer, root cause definition and other departments needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and engage team members at all levels of the organization.
- Coach and develop team to excel as individual contributors and leaders.
- Lead, contribute and influence the teams to meet and exceed the business goals.
- Review performance of team members with respect the culture, execution, and efficiency.
- Support new product design teams through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
- Provide advice for improving current testing methods.
- Employ robust statistical methods, interpret performance data, and make formal recommendations.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Maintain test processes and procedures.
- Act as technical resource to other departments.
- Evaluate safety practices, procedures, and environment with respect power tool usage.
- Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry.
- Promote continuous improvement on Test activities and process.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- English proficiency required.
- Able to always organize and maintain a team atmosphere and understand when to escalate.
- Ability to persuade, negotiate and resolve conflicts.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments for solutions.
- Able to work closely with engineering entities on technical issues and new products.
- Advanced root cause and data analysis.
- VSM, Process flow, Kaizen methodology knowledge.
- Utilize technical skills supporting a multitude of tool platforms.
- Engineering bachelor's degree
- Probable engineering master's degree (as a plus)
- Minimum 5 years' relatable experience in leadership
- Strong knowledge of advanced statistical methods.
- Strong organizational, problemsolving, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Strong mechanical / electric / electronic knowledge for design or analysis.
