As a
Total Rewards Manager in the HR function, your focus will be to deliver the Total Rewards strategy for Sales Market MX-CO-EC, working closely with the Regional Total Rewards Manager, Sales Market leadership teams, and different business areas to assess, develop and implement best in class Total Rewards solutions that empower our teams to exceed our customer expectations in a seamless way.

You secure implementation of rewards practices and principles, global compliance and local relevance and oversee all programs in the areas of compensation and benefits.


This hybrid role reports into our Total Rewards Manager, Region Americas and is based out of the Mexico City Support Office.


A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*- In this role, you will lead a Total Rewards Specialist that will support with the execution of the Total Rewards strategy and operations in your Sales Market

  • Partner with the Sales Market HR Manager and Total Rewards Manager, Region Americas to create competitive total rewards programs that empowers and retains our diverse colleague population, including the development, implementation, and administration of a competitive total rewards portfolio
  • Oversee the management and delivery of global compensation programs related to base pay, e.g., Salary Review, Salary Increase Budget Planning, and Salary Structures
  • Secure implementation of global deliveries and rewards processes, e.g., Generic job Framework, global salary review, compensation data management in core master data systems
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of current total rewards models that focus on equitable rewards strategies and solutions
  • Understand current and emerging market trends and tools to identify potential total reward opportunities and gaps
  • Secure compliance and alignment with global and local total rewards philosophy, policies, job evaluations, processes and guidelines, local communication, training, and instatement of the practices
  • Secure implementation of local compensation and benefit processes and operations, management of local vendors, global benefits management and facilitate alignment between different business organizations on rewards topics to achieve common approach and delivery where needed
  • Oversee analysis of external salary data to make informed recommendations on salary ranges and adjustments and perform geographical cost of living and cost of labor analysis, including equal pay analysis
  • Oversee the evaluation and classification of positions within the organization based on job responsibilities, skills, and market data
  • Implement data and analytics to support the strategic decision making on people related initiatives and programs
  • Develop and deliver wellness programming, communication strategies and activities designed to educate and inform colleagues about total rewards
  • Collaborate with colleagues from the Global Total Rewards COE (Community of Expertise), H&M Group, H&M Brands and Global Functions to impact and align on the global total rewards strategies
  • Collaborate and provide input on relevance of local salary structures, recommendation for salary increase during budget planning, local total rewards plan, local vendor selection for local benefits (in line with overall procurement process), and provides governance change in pay guidelines
  • Coordinate local PeopleData compensation data governance and readiness of all systems and tools used for total rewards deliveries
  • May perform other activities related to the position
  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel may be required

Qualifications Who You Are**:


  • 5+ years of Total Rewards leadership experience, preferably within Retail
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compensation and benefits function, and ability to execute strategies and programs
  • Knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee benefits & compensation programs
  • Ability to design colleague centric rewards programs while balancing business goals and financial boundaries
  • Strong planning, organizational, facilitation and change management skills; ability to lead and manage largescale and multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize objectives
  • Exposure to international compensation & benefits including an appreciation for the complexity of managing a global population desired
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills, experience with market data analysis, and ability to tell a story using data
  • Familiarity with HRIS/Payroll systems and functionality, compensation & benefits technology solutions
  • Exposure to market policies, practices, and policy development
